On Thursday, the 1st of January 2026, George passed away peacefully at The Galway Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his father George, mother Lily, infant sister Mary and grandsons Cormac (Jnr) and Jack. Beloved husband of Mary and much loved father of Karen, Louise, George, Jillian, Niamh, Marie and Clodagh. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, sons-in-law Bryan, Paul, Cormac, Robert and James, his 13 adoring grandchildren, brother Michael, sisters Helen, Nora, Joan and Deirdre, cousin Rita, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing at The Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue (H91 FH52), on Sunday the 4th of January from 5:00pm followed by removal at 6:30pm to the adjoining church. George’s Requiem Mass will take place on Monday the 5th of January at 11am. Funeral afterwards to The New Cemetery, Bohermore (H91 V97C). House private please.
