
On Thursday the 22nd of January 2026, Julia passed away peacefully, after a long illness bravely borne with great courage and dignity, in the wonderful care of the staff of The Galway Hospice. Predeceased by her beloved husband Padraig, brother Jim (Jippy) and sister Pauline. Julia will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving sons Paul and Alan, daughters Marian, Angela and Linda, son-in-law Mike, grandchildren Ashley (and her husband Christian), Shaelin, Eabha and Siobhan, great-grandchildren Nova and Vaeda, brothers Mike and Paddy, sisters Mary and Nonie, niece Ann, nephews John and Cathal, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Irwin’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin, Galway (H91 CK84), on Sunday the 25th of January from 6:30pm until 8pm. Funeral will arrive to St. Peter and Paul's Church, Coolough (H91 FF21) on Monday the 26th of January for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Julia will then be laid to rest in Menlo Cemetery with her beloved husband Padraig. House strictly private please.
