Formerly London. On the 1st of January 2025, Rita passed away peacefully, in her 95th year at Brampton Care Home, Oranmore, in the wonderful care of the staff and surrounded by her loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Julia, her brothers Jack (Doughiska), Mickey (UK) , Mattie (Galway Docks), Tommy (Australia) and her sisters Maureen Skerritt (Corandulla), Bridie Tully (Castlegar), Sadie Corcoran (Renmore) and Annie Conroy (UK). Lovingly remembered by all of her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, her sister-in- law Pauline (UK), her cousins and friends.

Rita’s Requiem Mass will take place in The Good Shepherd Church, Doughiska (H91 HRN2), on Saturday the 4th of January at 11am. Cremation service will take place in Shannon Crematorium, County Clare, (V14 PV30), on Sunday, the 5th of January, at 11am. The funeral service at the chapel in Shannon Crematorium can be livestreamed by following the link for live streaming on the main page of https://shannoncrematorium.com/ and entering in the password RBG5 The feed will go live at approximately 10:55, with the service commencing at 11:00.
