On Tuesday the 18th August 2026, Brigid passed away peacefully at University Hospital Galway, in her 94th year, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her loving husband Jim, her son Seamus, her sister Nono and her brother Willie. Beloved mother of Mary, Ann, Martin, Noreen, John, Helen, Nicky and Thérèse. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, her sister Mary, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Síoraíocht, within the grounds of the Church of the Assumption and St. James, Claregalway (H91 XH02), on Friday the 21st of August, from 5pm, followed by removal at 6.30pm to St. Columba's Church, Castlegar (H91 E4C9) arriving at 7pm. Brigid's Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday the 22nd of August at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Castlegar Cemetery.
