On Wednesday, the 19th of August 2026, Fintan passed away peacefully at The Galway Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Nora and loving son of the late Fintan and Molly Scally. Fintan will be sadly missed by his brothers Frank, Liam, Damien, Raymond, Edmund and Desmond, sisters Gretta Clear and Carmel Minnock, brothers-in-law (especially Robert), sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing at St. Pio's Room, within the Church of the Sacred Heart, Westside, Galway (H91 E781), on Friday the 21st August from 6:00pm followed by removal at 7:00pm into the adjoining church. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday the 22nd of August at 10:00am. Fintan will then be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery (H91 XW62) with his loving wife Nora. House private please.
