Carmel passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the exceptional care of the staff of St. Joseph’s Ward, UCHG. Predeceased by her parents, Michael and Madeleine Elwood. Carmel will be deeply missed and always remembered by her loving husband Martin; her much-loved children Michelle, Brian and Noelle; son-in-law Arnie; daughter-in-law Linda; and her devoted grandchildren Ailbhe, Clara, Sarah, Arlo, Shay and Oscar. She will be greatly missed by her sisters Cathy, Irene and Moira; brothers Pat, Niall, Jimmy, Paul, Gary and Tom; sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; members of the extended Farrell and Elwood families; neighbours; and her wide circle of friends.
May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing in Irwin’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin (H91 CK84), on Sunday the 22nd of March from 4:30pm until 7:30pm. Private removal afterwards to her home. Carmel’s Requiem Mass will take place on Monday the 23rd of March at 11:30am, in The Abbey Church Saint Francis Street (H91 C53K). Carmel will then be laid to rest, in Rahoon Cemetery.
