
It is with the heaviest of hearts and deepest sadness, that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our beloved Martin, in the wonderful care of the staff at University Hospital Galway, on Tuesday 14th July 2026, surrounded by his heartbroken family. Pre-deceased by his parents Kathleen and Michael, his sisters Anne and Phil, and his nephew Mark. Deeply missed by his loving wife Marie, daughter Caroline, sons David and Philip, his adored grandchildren Adrianne, Alex, Anthea, Amelia-Lily, Robyn and Paige, Caroline's husband Philip, David's wife Michelle and Philip's wife Jessica, his sister Molly, brother in-law, sister in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace. "I have to go now to the stars and one day, when you look at the stars, you will remember me."
Martin will lie in repose at his home, on Threadneedle Road (H91K7CX), from 5pm until 8pm on Friday 17th July 2026. House private outside of this time please. Private removal from his home to arrive in advance of requiem mass, at 11am on Saturday 18th July 2026, in Christ the King Church, Salthill (H91T8F5). Following mass, Martin will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery.
