On Tuesday, the 21st of July 2026, Jack passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of the nursing staff of Galway Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his cherished son Colin and his parents Kathleen and Seán Keaveny. Beloved husband of Ann (née Tonery) and much-loved father of Kay. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by his wife, daughter, son-in-law Niall, daughter-in-law Nicola, his four adored grandchildren Seán, Cathal, Clíodhna and James, brothers Ken, Noel and Brendan, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, godson Michael, relatives, neighbours and his many friends, including his golf buddies at Cregmore Golf Club.
May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Irwin’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin, Galway City (H91 CK84) on Friday the 24th of July from 6:30pm. Private removal to his residence at 8pm. Funeral cortege will arrive at The Church of the Assumption and St. James, Claregalway (H91 YH05), on Saturday the 25th of July, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Cremation service will take place on Monday the 27th of July at 12 noon, at Shannon Crematorium, Co. Clare (V14 PV30). House private please.
