Formerly of Tubberjarlath, Tuam, Co. Galway. (Retired Vice-Principal of Scoil Iognáid, Sea Road, Galway) On Friday, the 26th of June, 2026, Antoine passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Moycullen Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Annie and Tony Martyn and his sister Bridie McGuire. Beloved husband of Mary. He will be sadly missed by his wife, daughters Ailbhe and Sinéad, son Donnacha, son-in-law Alan, daughter-in-law Louise, grandchildren Shannon, Cian, Jay, Alana, Ashley, Ríona, Alisha, Alex and Rhys, great-grandchildren Kasey and Charlie, brothers P.J. (USA), Brian (Tuam), sister Mary (Tuam), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Antoine will also be fondly remembered by his former colleagues and past pupils of Scoil Iognáid, Sea Road, Galway.

Antoine will repose at The Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue, (H91 FH52), on Monday the 29th of June from 5:00pm. Removal at 6:30pm to the adjoining church. Antoine's Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday the 30th of June at 11:00am. Funeral afterwards to Tuam Cemetery.
