

Pre-deceased by her husband Tommy, her parents Michael and Nora, her four babies, sister Bridie, and brothers Bartley, Paudge and Miko. Maureen passed away peacefully in the Bons Secours Hospital, Galway, on the 1st August 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Marie and son Gerry, son-in-law Peter, daughter-in-law Liz, sister Margaret, brother Domo, her adored and cherished grandchildren, Aaron, Katie, Cian, Elisha, Chloe and Daniel, Aaron's wife Katie, Katie's fiancé Dáire, Cian's fiancée Klaudia, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, her precious nieces and nephews, relatives, her great neighbours and her wonderful friends. With beautiful memories of a life well lived, we lay Maureen to rest. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Bons Secours Hospital for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Maureen during her time there.

Reposing in Áras Naofa, within the grounds of St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Renmore, (H91YV52), on Tuesday, 4th August, from 5:00 p.m., followed by private removal to her home at 6:30 p.m. Maureen's Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday, 5th August, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Columba's Church, Castlegar (H91E4C9). Funeral afterwards to Killeen Cemetery, Castlegar.
