On the 20th of May 2026, in her 102nd year, Mary Ellen passed away peacefully at University Hospital Galway. Predeceased by her husband William, daughter Mauragh, brothers Martin, Patrick and Peter, sisters Annie and Delia. She is survived by her son William (Bill), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Bernard and Oliver and her many nieces and nephews.
May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing in Irwin’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin, Galway (H91 CK84), on Friday the 22nd of May from 5pm until 6:30pm. Mary Ellen’s Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday the 23rd of May at 12 noon, in The Galway Cathedral. Mary Ellen will then be laid to rest, in The New Cemetery, Bohermore (H91 V97C).
