Formerly of St. James' Crescent, Mervue. On the 13th of January 2025, Peter passed away peacefully in University Hospital Galway, after an illness borne with great courage and dignity, with his loving family by his side. Predeceased by his parents Bernie and Tess and his nephews Kevin and Dara. Beloved husband of Mary. Will be sadly missed by his devoted wife, his children Aoife, Peter, Ailbhe and Elaine, daughter-in-law Tracy, his precious grandson Fionn, sister Helen, brothers Thomas, Seán, Brian, Joey and Leonard, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, his colleagues in Thermo King, the members of St. Patrick's Brass Band and Renmore Soccer Club and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing in The Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue on Thursday the 16th of January from 4:00pm. Removal at 6:00pm to the adjoining church. Peter's Requiem Mass will take place on Friday the 17th of January at 11:00am. Funeral afterwards to Rinville Cemetery. he family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at The Claddagh Ward, The High Dependency Unit and The Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital Galway, for the wonderful care and compassion shown towards Peter and the Power family, throughout Peter's time there. The Funeral Parlour Entrance is through the Church and the Wheelchair entrance/exit to/from the Funeral Parlour is at ground level in the car park.
